We are delighted to introduce Sigma's new, high quality, low price screw-in filters - this particular one is water and oil resistant.

The UV is a colourless glass filter that absorbs ultraviolet rays, hence the bluish cast that occurs in sunny weather (at high colour temperatures, i.e. above 6500 K).

It is also the ideal filter to leave on the lens permanently as a lens protector.

UV filters prevent the bluish tone that is generated when the weather is fine, by absorbing ultraviolet rays. It is effective in most situations, such as landscape, portrait and general photography on a sunny day.

It is also an ideal filter for regular use as it is completely colorless so does not affect colour reproduction.

1. Optimized design for Sigma lenses

* Design that is conscious of optical quality

It is designed to avoid vignetting or the decrease in peripheral light quantities especially when the thinner wide type filters are used with SIGMA lenses.

* Ultra Low-reflection

By incorporating Sigma's Super Multi-Layer Coating, the filter reduces flare and ghosting. In addition, black rimmed glass eliminates unnecessary internal reflections, and provides high performance for both digital cameras and film cameras.

2. Specifications and features that ensure versatility

* Water and Oil-repellent function (WR filters)

With excellent Water and Oil repellent functions, the filter surface repels water drops and provides resistance to even fingerprints. Even if they appear on the surface, they can be easily removed.


* Antistatic function

With excellent antistatic performance, the filter prevents microscopic dust clinging to the surface. Even if the lens gets soiled, dust can be easily
removed using an air-blower.

* Thinner wide type (from 46mm to 82mm)

By incorporating thinner frame (except 86mm, 95mm and 105mm) to avoid vignetting even with super wide-angle lenses, it is ideal for various types of lenses from wide-angle to telephoto. Moreover, a lens cap can be attached as the edge of frame is threaded.

3. Newly designed case for safety and utility

* Excellent for carrying and long-term storage

Thanks to Elastomer resin, filters do not move in the case even when it is carried around. The case is half-transparent so that content can be recognized from outside.

Delivery

Most orders incur a total order delivery charge of £7.99 including VAT for mainland UK delivery. All goods are shipped by courier services.
