Rollei Crossbird film is a creative film, with excellent colour fidelity, above-average contrast range, high sharpness with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 200. We advise you to develop it using the colour negative process C-41.
Being a slide film in origin, if you process it in a C41 process, you find that Crossbird colour balance will take on a more yellow-green appearance. It is also very well-suited for scanning applications.
We, therefore, refer to Crossbird as a "fantasy film". In spite of the creative possibilities, the film brings everything that you require of a modern colour film. This so-called cross-development produces hard negatives, which are used either as false colour dyes or for coloured printed images in negative or positive colours.
However, if you choose to make slides from the film instead of negatives, you should rate the film at ISO 100/21?. The film then has a golden yellow appearance and gets the look of a warm summer day.
If you process this film through a lab always tell them it's a slide film if you want it to be processed in C41 otherwise their machines will try to counter the colour shifts you require.
