As black and white specialists, we often get asked for creative films and papers to enrich the art form that only monochrome work can offer. To discover a new supplier whose company motto is to 'provide unlimited potentiality in black and white imaging products' was an interesting find last month. The company, MACO of Germany, produce two films that are particularly interesting.
We like their 35mm IR820 Infrared film (now branded Rollei). This 100 ISO, panchromatic film offers true IR sensitisation up to 820nm. With very fine grain and capable of reversal processing, at £5.69, it s the best value infrared film on the market. Develop with D76 or ID11.
