The PANTONE huey monitor calibration device is a true breakthrough in terms of form, function and usability. 8th January 2008The huey is a no-fuss, 3 minute installation and 3 minute calibration solution to matching what comes out of your printer to what you see on your monitor. Calibration is unbelievably easy: attach the huey's suction cups to your monitor and let the huey figure out the rest. After calibration, you will notice that your monitor's brightness is considerably reduced, colours are less intense and hues may have shifted (in my case from blues to greens). It will take some getting used to initially - but there is no doubt that your prints will now look like what you saw on the screen.rnrnThere are a lot of things I like about the huey; the ease of installation, the regular adjustments for ambient light (every minute by default) and regular recalibration (every month by default). All the huey's settings are very easy to customize or turn off; just click the icon in the system tray and make your changes - even turn the huey off temporarily when you are not photo editing to return to your pre-adjusted monitor settings if you wish - just two clicks will do the job. I am really, really pleased with the huey and wouldn't attempt any serious photo editing without it anymore.
