The new big brother to the Coolscan V shares the same small body size (3.8x6.6x12.4 inches) but has pumped-iron to improve output.

You get all features of the LS50 in the 5000 model but it differs in four major areas. It has an increased 4.8 Dynamic Range, 48-bit colour depth, faster scan time of 20 seconds for full 35mm scan and multi sample scanning.
In productivity terms it also holds the edge as 35mm roll film scanning and auto slide feeding are both available as optional extras. Is it worth it? Most certainly, if time is money and you need quality results up to A3 prints without compromise.
