Meopta makes two enlarger timers, both that will suit the darkroom worker on a tight budget.
The S15 is a twin-range darkroom timer and is the cheapest enlarger timer that we sell. Although inexpensive, precise and highly accurate measurement of the enlargers light output is possible. It comes with repeat facility and has a backlit analogue-display making it is simple and easy to use. It can be used on a worktop or wall mounted.
Suitable for black and white as well as colour work, this electro-mechanical timer is ideal for beginners to use. Switching range is 0.5 - 60 seconds and this compact unit measures only 4 x 5.5 x 3 inches.
The Viponel Electronic model from Meopta has more features but still sells for under £100.
Highly specified, it includes three timing ranges, which total 0.1 to 990 seconds, giving you a greater range than with the S15 model. The display differs too being LCD but it is equally suited for black and white or colour work and can be desk or wall mounted too.
An additional power outlet allows your safelight to be switched on from the timer. It measures 4.5 x 6 x 3 inches.
