Made by Tokina, the Japanese lens manufacturer, it consists of a 2 x telephoto and 0.5 x wide-angle screw-in lenses. Also included are 2 soft pouches and a 27 - 37mm ring, 28 - 37mm ring, 30 - 37mm ring & 30.5 - 37mm ring.
With the step-down rings, you can attach the lenses to most video cameras and many top-end,digital cameras that have screw in filter threads. Considering that the set sells for under £50, which is half the prices of other twin lens kits, we feel this is a new worthwhile accessory for inclusion the catalogue.
The effect of conversion lenses:
A wide-angle converter increases your angle of view to include more of the land scape in scenic shots, get more people in group shots and show more of the room in interior shots. For instance, a 0.5x wide-angle adapter will al low you to get twice as much in your picture! (And your telephoto zoom becomes wider by the same factor.) Conversely, a telephoto converter brings everything closer. A 2x converter will double your camera’ s focal length enabling you to zoom in much closer.
