This clever British-made gadget allows the use of cable releases with any camera - digital or 35mm. It overcomes the problem of using a self-timer when your camera either doesn't have a cable release socket or is unable to accept a traditional release. What's more, it avoids the costly insistence by some digital camera makers that only electronic releases be used with their cameras.
If you shoot photo-microscopy or astro photography, where camera shake is a problem, it will be a great aid and the lonely fisherman (complete with 20 foot air release) will find it invaluable in recording their catch.
It is available in two formats - for compact cameras or SLR/hybrid compact cameras where the release is not flat on top of the camera.
