There is no adhesive, so there is no residue. You can apply it repeatedly with no loss of effectiveness.
Simply cut the material and backing with scissors or a razor blade. Apply it to the window from the backing paper using a roller, squeegee or your hands. It will stick instantly provided the smooth window surface is clean.
