Our opinion:
Ilford's new Pinhole Photography Titan camera turns Pinhole Photography into a craft.
It also takes the trial-and-error out of using a pinhole camera at the same making it possible to get fantastic image quality regardless of whether film or paper is used as the receptor.
The reason for such a leap in image quality is that the body of the camera is made from injection moulded ABS, made in the UK by Walker Cameras and finished with a very durable non-slip coating. All fittings are made from stainless steel and the camera comes complete with built-in spirit levels, tripod mount positions and an accessory shoe.
The construction makes it ideal for student photography work as it is able to withstand extreme natural elements and rough handling.
The great thing about pinhole photography is that the medium can be demonstrated with both film or paper and this is why the kit is perfect for students as it also contains 10 sheet packs of Ilford Multigrade 4x5 paper, Delta 100 4x5 film and 4x5 Direct Positive paper to make your experiments complete.
The only thing that is missing that we would recommend is a (Darkslide) 4 x 5 film holder to take the media but for an extra £10 we can offer the Fidelty Elite film holder to go with your purchase. While this is not absolutely necessary to use with the camera it does make for an easier-to-use unit and one that will give you better quality results.
The kit also comes with a Pinhole Exposure Calculator and 72mm wide-angle cone which is interchangeable.

The robust HARMAN TiTAN camera has been designed in conjunction with, and manufactured in the UK by Walker Cameras who are well known for their range of Titan large format film cameras. The body is made from injection moulded ABS, finished with a very durable non-slip coating. All fittings are made from stainless steel. This combination of materials makes the camera exceptionally durable and able to withstand extreme natural elements, and rough handling. The camera, which can be used with any photographic film or paper, takes a 4 x 5 film holder and features tripod mount positions, built-in spirit levels, and accessory mount. The kit model comes with a 72mm wide-angle cone, which is interchangeable. Separate cones of 110 and 150mm, which is the same focal length as on a 5 x 4 camera, are planned as optional extras.
