Our opinion:

The OpticBook 3800 is designed to scan books - and this latest model offers the convenience of converting the scanned images into easily searchable PDFs (Adobe's Portable Document Format files), which can be read or saved on any computer, regardless of the Operating System.

Speaking of Operating Systems, for the first time in a Plustek scanner the OpticBook 3800 offers some MAC compatibility.

In essence, the OpticBook 3800 is an excellent tool for offices and educational environments where printed material frequently needs to be digitalised.
