What a great idea to combine a card reader with a USB hub - especially when the price is no more than either a single card reader or hub extension.
Such is the achievement of this new IOGEAR USB 2.0 Combo Hub & Card Reader from Hama. It bridges the gap between your computer and devices such as digital cameras and portable phone/MP3 players, as well as peripherals such as printers, external hard drives and more.
Combining three high-speed USB 2.0 ports with a 45-in-1 card reader, this compact and elegant device delivers lightning-fast connectivity and file transfer capabilities.
Just insert your memory cards and transfer data at 480 Mbps and because it has a 3 year warranty we feel even educational Photo Department should have one.
It provides three USB 2.0 ports and multiple memory card reading/writing abilities. The cards supported include CF, SD, microSD/T-Flash, miniSD, MS/MS Duo/M2 and other common card types with no additional adapters needed. There is up to 32GB high capacity support for SDHC and microSDHC cards and it is backward compatible with USB 1.1 specifications.
