The D-Lite it 2/4 kit includes two different powered heads - which may seem a bit odd at first. However, given that good lighting should never be equal on all surfaces (or 3D objects will appear flat), it is only the main light needs to have that extra power, whilst the fill light just fills in the shadows. A 2:1 ratio is preferred by many photographers - which is where it makes perfect sense to have a 400 WS and a 200 WS head in the same kit - at a competitive price.

The sleek design of Elinchrom's D-Lite it (the 'it' stands for intelligent trigger), with its ground-breaking performance and digital stability, sets it apart from many other lights in the entry level studio flash market. The head is further enhanced for 2010 with a built-in slave cell, an intelligent fan cooling system as well as a stronger stand fitting and a more robust carrying handle.

The D-Lite it includes a built-in Skyport receiver. The Skyport Eco transmitter is a 40 bit encoded digital ratdio trigger with 4 selectable frequencies. This includes the new Skyport speed mode allowing faster Sync speeds of up to 1/250s to be used. Of course the D-lite it remains compatible with the existing skyport transmitters, using only the first 4 frequencies as a radio trigger.

D-Lite it features a heads that are digitally controlled so every time you fire the flash you get the same amount of light at the same duration, at the same colour temperature making it very stable and reliable.
