Our opinion:

Adobe Photoshop has been the industry's standard tool for 20 years now. It is a fantastic tool for image manipulation, laying out graphics (i.e. webpage designs) etc.

For the first time with CS5, Adobe have extended the educational discount to primary and secondary school students, making it much more affordable for parents whose children take GCSE or A-level Photography courses.

Photoshop CS5 for MAC is now 64-bit, which gives a vast speed improvement over previous versions.

This version of Photoshop makes the most common imaging tasks a great deal easier than they have been for the past 2 decades. For instance, selecting a person or an object from a busy background is now relatively quick and easy process - as well as filling in the blank image areas.

A further improvement is the inclusion of a Mini Bridge within the Photoshop itself, allowing you to perform the most common organizational tasks right from within CS5. Students will also enjoy the new 'Puppet Wrap' and 3D features.

CS5 has won the prestigeous TIPA 2010 award for the Best Photo Software.

In essence, CS5 is the easiest, fastest and most efficient version of Photoshop there ever was.
