Our opinion:
Adobe Photoshop has been the industry's standard tool for over 20 years now. It is a fantastic tool for image manipulation, laying out graphics (i.e. webpage designs) etc.
This latest version of Photoshop Extended offers 47 new features - amongst them 3 new blur filters that produce out of focus results that are impossible to create photographically, i.e. with multiple focus points in a single image. The new content aware patch and move tools make creative work faster than ever before.
However, arguably the most exciting improvement in CS6 is the new Adobe Mercury Graphics Engine, which promises to deliver unprecedented responsiveness - particularly useful when working with 3D graphics - as well as background saves and auto recovery.
