Our opinion:

The latest OpticFilm scanners from Plustek (7400, 7600i SE and 7600i Ai) are remarkably similar - the only real decision you as a customer have to make is whether you require the infrared series ('i' after the model number; removes dust and scratches from the film) and which software you would like to use.

Bundled Software:
SilverFast Ai Studio includes all of the well-known functions of Silverfast AI plus a many new, innovative tools.
These new functions of SilverFast Ai Studio offer an even higher degree of efficiency for image optimization. Multi- sampling now includes auto-alignment, enabling this feature even on scanners without hardware-based support. AACO allows the user to extract maximum detail from shadow areas, without compromising the highlights. This has become an an invaluable tool, especially when working with scanners offering limited dynamic range. These two tools combined can inncrease the usable dynamic range of almost any scanner in the market today.

Two film holders are provided.
One is for mounted slides, holding up to four mounted slides. The other is for filmstrips, holding a piece of filmstrip, up to 6 frames.

Carrying bag included
A padded carrying bag is included which has been specially designed for the film scanner. Its main compartment accommodates the scanner, film holders, power adaptor and USB cord. The case comes with an easy-to-grip handle for hand carry, and features Velcro taped pocket to house film holders.
