Our opinion:

The latest OpticFilm scanners from Plustek (7400, 7600i SE and 7600i Ai) are remarkably similar - the only real decision you as a customer have to make is whether you require the infrared series ('i' after the model number; removes dust and scratches from the film) and which software you would like to use.

Bundled Software:
SilverFast SE Plus is especially designed for those who want to enter the world of digital image processing. Images will immensely benefit from SilverFast's intelligent automatic functions which help to make the process of various adjustments much easier. Predictable color from the SilverFast SE preview gives imaging and color reproduction a new dimension securing the correct workflow with the ScanPilot. SilverFast SE Plus can be used as a Stand-alone Application or as a Plug-in for Photoshop.

Two film holders are provided.
One is for mounted slides, holding up to four mounted slides. The other is for filmstrips, holding a piece of filmstrip, up to 6 frames.

Carrying bag included
A padded carrying bag is included which has been specially designed for the film scanner. Its main compartment accommodates the scanner, film holders, power adaptor and USB cord. The case comes with an easy-to-grip handle for hand carry, and features Velcro taped pocket to house film holders.
