Our opinion:
The IXUS 130 is 2010's mid-range model of Canon's prestigious IXUS range.
IXUS cameras are renowned for their exceptional image quality. The 130 has an exceptionally large resolution (14MP), a very good lens (35mm equivalent 28mm - 112mm) which starts with a wideangle (good for indoor shots and group photos) and ends with a telephoto setting (when you need to get closer to distant objects).
Featuring HD movies (720p), creative effects (fisheye and miniture), as well as Canon's new Smart Shutter, which you can trigger remotely by smiling or winking at the camera, the IXUS 130 features all Canon's latest technological advances.
It also has Canon's Smart Auto feature, which works exceptionally well in selecting camera programs automatically for you (i.e. Portrait, Night Snapshot, Beach, Indoor etc) to ensure that every time you press the shutter, the photo will turn out just brilliantly.
Similarly, the camera selects the ISO rating automatically, detects when you are moving and steadies images with Image Stabilization and optimizes colours for you with iContrast. Whith all the technical details taken care of, all you need to do is press the button to capture the moment ...

Face Detection Technology
