The new DC Filter Mount is a universal bracket system that locates a 52mm filter thread around the lens of a compact digital camera. It enables the use of a wide range of accessories including filters and auxiliary lenses for digital compact cameras with no lens or body mount threads.
Once fitted, the bracket can be left on the camera, or easily taken off and replaced using the knurled screw.
The unit comprises: a base section with knurled head lock screw, a forward bar with a right angle joint, and a further bar with the filter thread ring. The base fits to the standard tripod socket on the underside of the camera.
The base screw incorporates an additional tripod mounting socket. The unit is easily assembled and aligned for the first time, using the supplied Allen key and screws. The supplied bars should be long enough to cope with most applications. After assembly, any excess bar length protruding from the mount can be removed with a small hacksaw.
