Sigma's 24-70mm f/2.8 IF EX DG HSM lens is a large aperture standard zoom lens that covers focal lengths from 24mm and is housed in a compact construction, with an overall length of 3.7 inches. It's suited for
general photography, and its super multilayer coating is added to reduce flare and ghosting. ELD (extraordinary low dispersion) glass, two SLD glass elements and three aspherical lenses provide correction of aberrations. With a minimum focusing distance of 15 inches and a 1:5.3 maximum magnification ratio, it too employs a hypersonic motor and full-time manual focusing. Its rounded 9-blade diaphragm creates an attractive blur, and an included petal-type hood blocks out extraneous light.
