The Olympus E-PL8 is this year's latest offer in premium design inherited from the PEN series. It provides enhanced selfie functions and extensive creative shooting features that you can use for both still images and video.

This 16-megapixel compact camera system is the stylish beginner's model that'll give you DSLR quality for the price of a premium digital compact yet still with the ability to change lenses.

It has a very similar specification to the OM-D E-M10 Mark II but lacks a viewfinder (hence the lower price). You view images on the rear LCD touchscreen.

Retro-styled in a beautiful premium metal casing it is enhanced with a leather-look finish, with a choice of two colours. You also get the ""pancake"" interchangeable 14-42mm lens, with a selection of six others to add. Its 8.5 fps high-speed sequential shooting and super fast AF shooting is achieved due to the omission of a mirror.

This camera can be whatever you want it to be - fully auto compact with selfies at heart through to a sophisticated, customizable manual (with manual focus too), semi-manual or fully auto. So much so we thoroughly recommend it for use in a photography department enabling students to learn their craft.
